About the Photographer
I photograph the people, places and things that are important to you, and to me.
I have taken many walks in my lifetime. The sights and viewpoints that walking gives me, open new opportunities for taking important photographs: by walking the streets of a city; the back country dirt road that separates neighboring farms; the person in the crowd.
The walk is complemented by the first light of day and the warm tones of early evening; the shadows and shapes that give depth to the landscape.
Of the hundreds of photographs that I take, why does one stand out over others? For me, it’s the timelessness of the image. I could have taken it today or decades earlier.
My Dad showed me that walking for life gives you perspective. Although I have been walking and photographing for many years, it is this time in my life that I am most excited.
